STDs

Sexually Transmitted Disease or sometimes called Infections (STI or STD), are spread when a person is exposed to someone else who has an infection. They are passed around when the infected fluid such as blood, vaginal fluids and semen comes into contact with another person. STIs can also be spread through contact with infected skin or mucous membranes.

Just because you don’t have symptoms doesn’t mean you don’t have an infection!!! If you have multiple sex partners or new partners the CDC recommends getting tested every 3 months.

Our clinic is able to provide OUCHLESS testing (through the urine) and check for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. We also can provide rapid HIV testing. If you are having any symptoms such as itching, burning, discharge, bumps, sores, irregular bleeding, pain or cramping call one of our nurses to determine which STD tests are recommended for you!

For additional resources about STDs check out these websites or call one of our nurses. We are always happy to talk with you!
